Maryland offers online registration. This is often the fastest way to register to vote or update your registration, including changing your name or address, and for some states, political party. Maryland’s election website may have information translated into multiple languages.

Mail -In Registration Deadline: Must be postmarked 21 days before Election Day
You can use Maryland’s mail-in registration form to register for local, state, and national elections for the first time or update your registration with a new name or address, and for some states, political party. You’ll need to print the form, fill it out, and mail it to your state election office. You’ll need access to a printer and a postage stamp.
In-Person Registration Deadline: Available up to and including on Election Day
You can register in person at your state or local election office, your state motor vehicles office, and at many government public assistance offices.
Online Registration Deadline: Received 7 days before Election Day to receive ballot by mail, and received 4 days before Election Day to receive ballot online.
Mail-In Registration Deadline: Received 7 days before Election Day.
In-Person Registration Deadline: Election Day.
