Online Registration Deadline: 15 days before Election Day

California offers online registration. This is often the fastest way to register to vote or update your registration, including changing your name or address, and for some states, political party. California’s election website may have information translated into multiple languages.

NOTICE: Individuals under 18 years of age can use this tool to pre-register.

Mail -In Registration Deadline: Must be postmarked 15 days before Election Day

You can register for the first time or update your registration with the National Mail Voter Registration Form. You can download and print the registration form to fill it out on paper. Once complete, you’ll need to sign and mail it to your state or territory. You’ll need access to a printer and a postage stamp.

In-Person Registration Deadline: Available up to and including on Election Day

You can register in person at your state or local election office, your state motor vehicles office, and at many government public assistance offices.
